Feng Shui Tips to Help You Keep Up Your New Year's Momentum

Tesia Keeng • July 7, 2021

It’s natural that the new year enthusiasm will start to wain but now is not the time to stop building great energy and health.

We are into the last week of January, the holidays are now a distant memory, and we are getting back into the groove of our routines.

Has your “New Year” energy started to fade?

Feng Shui contains elements of scholarly study which includes physics, philosophy, astronomy, and astrology. It is closely related to the understanding of nature and the idea that energy moves in nature as well as within the 5 elements (fire, wood, water, earth, metal).

Simply put, when you incorporate Feng Shui, it helps create better energy and harmony in your home.

You might benefit from incorporating the following Feng Shui tips so you can invite NEW ENERGY within yourself and the environment around you, and to help promote harmony in your home.

DECLUTTER

Decluttering promotes uncluttering not only in your home but your mind. Gain a fresh perspective when you get rid of the old.

  • Clean out your bathroom drawers – if you haven’t used it in 3 months, then throw it away!
  • Recycle old magazines, newspapers, and donate books you’ve finished reading.
  • Take a look at your closet – are there clothes you just don’t wear anymore? Donate them!
  • What is in your pantry! Stale crackers, expired baking soda, half eaten chocolate – toss it away!
  • Don’t forget the fridge – wilted lettuce, take-out food containers, leftovers from two weeks ago – purge it!

Ask yourself – do I need this? Does it give me happiness? If not, let it go.

CLEANSE

Cleansing supports you being in your home comfortably and helps give you a positive state of mind, creating a more harmonious home. Get rid of old energy by sweeping or vacuuming and mopping the floors clean. Wipe everything down and get rid of stagnant dust to create flow and circulation. And make sure you empty all the trashcans to get rid of the old!

ADD A BOWL OF ORANGES TO YOUR HOME

Did you know that oranges symbolize gold which also symbolizes abundance? Place them in a bowl in groups of 8, 9, or 10 (these are numbers of prosperity) in a central location of your house.

BUY A NEW PLANT

The East section of your home is considered the Health & Family area of your house. Place a beautiful new plant in this area to symbolize a healthy beginning and growth in your relationships.

FILL YOUR PANTRY

Since you decluttered and got rid of all the food that was stale, expired, or simply not being used, you can fill your pantry with fresh, useful food. An empty pantry is often considered bad luck! Why? Because it symbolizes that you have not enough to eat. Filling it helps promote prosperity and good health.
